Grand Canyon, June 8

In the morning, we took a bus to Mather Point for a ranger talk on canyon ecology.


Later, we took another bus to Hopi Point and hiked the rim trail to Mohave Point. Hopi Point has some nice views of the Colorado River, and the walk along the rim trail had some great views of the canyon as well. It was a little scary though, being so close to the cliffs on such a narrow track... at one point we walked a bit on the road to save ourselves the stress of watching the kiddos hop-skipping carelessly along.


We returned to the lodges in time to see a demonstration of Hopi Native American dances.


Then we boarded the train to head back to Williams. What a great stay in the Grand Canyon! :) Connie
