Cliff Dwellings Near Flagstaff

After Tombstone and Saguaro National Park, we decided to bypass our second night in Benson (the campground was a dive) and head north to the next campground in Mesa, AZ. We stayed two nights there to catch up on grocery shopping, laundry, showers, and sleep. :) Then yesterday we headed northward to Flagstaff, AZ. There are several National Parks in the area, and the first one we visited was Montezuma Castle... a site of cliff dwellings left by the Sinagua people 600 years ago. (On a side note... I had actually previously visited this park 21 years ago on a high school band trip when our band performed at the Fiesta Bowl).
