From Las Cruces, we drove to Benson, AZ, which was relatively close to the town of Tombstone (location of the famous OK Corral gunfight). In Tombstone, there are gunfight re-enactments, historical buildings, saloons, people walking the streets in "old west" clothing, and lots of touristy shops for souvenirs. First, we went on a stagecoach ride around the town to learn a bit of history.
We also toured several of the old buildings and learned about the town's very rough past (gunfights, hangings, mining, etc).
Finally, we watched a comedy gunfight at one of the outdoor theaters.
It was a rootin' tootin' good time! :) Connie
Awesome pictures, guys!!
