The water in Lake Mead was very low... currently the Southwest is in a period of drought. Both James and I have visited the dam before, but it was still amazing to see this enormous work of engineering again and to show it to the girls. :) Connie

Hoover Dam
Along the way from Williams, AZ to Las Vegas, NV we stopped to see Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. They've added an amazing bridge since the last time I was at the dam about 13 years ago. They've also added security measures... they searched our camper before we were allowed to drive it across the dam to the large vehicle parking area on the Arizona side of the dam.
