Little Bighorn Battlefield

We stopped at the site of the battle at Little Bighorn, where General Custer and his soldiers were defeated in a battle against Cheyenne and Lakota tribes. We learned about the complicated history of broken treaties and violations of laws and human rights that led up to the battle. The battlefield has monuments to the soldiers and indians, as well as headstones where the men lay dead after the battle.
